I feel very lucky to be able to have seen so much of Goya and Velazquez in person...and the Guernica as well. I remember when they returned it to Spain and we went to see it before it found its forever home at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid.

We share a lot of art loves in common.

A few years ago i talked with an artist friend who had recently recently returned from a tour of the Louvre. He was still in awe. Although he had drawn and painted professionally for over 50 years, he had never seen the originals of some of the paintings he loved so much. He could not stop talking about his wonder and amazement.
