End Of Day

Sep 04, 2013 22:58

Yesterday was a difficult day for Dianne, she seemed disoriented, but she insisted she was just tired.  So took a five hour nap in the afternoon and awoke refreshed.  Today she had more energy, at least enough to have a pretty good session of physical therapy.  Then this evening i screwed up her oxygen delivery system and almost undid everything.   ( Read more... )

but, of course, you are doing something about Syria in your own world as best you can, as you have been living and talking and writing about peace for a very long time and calling us to our oneness in the human family, and, of course, every day, every moment, second by second, you are bringing peace and comfort and grace to your beloved Dianne.

Yeah, we must bring some perspective to these issues. As Senator Sanders says: what about the unintended consequences of our actions?

I'm breathing with you from over here, in the moments.

You can do a small thing about Syria. Write to or phone your congresspersons to tell them your views. I know, not very puissant. But lack of individual puissance should be part of what democracy's about.

Thank you, so much!

My congress people always vote wrong and when they vote right (as on this issue) they do it for the wrong reasons. I don't communicate well with individuals under the best of circumstances and one of the unintended consequences of my efforts to persuade is to piss people off.

Years ago, when I was first online and encountering hordes of libertarian conservatives, I wondered what was the point in expressing my dissent to their views-- I did not think and do not think them persuadable. And then I thought of all the silent people present, perhaps thinking, "Oh. I guess all the Smart People think this." And so I spoke.

When it comes to politicians, I also don't expect to persuade, and there are no silent people in the room. But I reckon that to a great extent they go by numbers-- not necessarily to arrive at decisions, but to explain them. "4500 constituents told me that they (do not) support X." Like that. So my congresspersons hear from me a lot, including about their maniacal certainty that the budget deficit is the greatest economic issue currently facing the nation.

their maniacal certainty that the budget deficit is the greatest economic issue currently facing the nation.

"Your maniacal certainty": i love that phrase and, now that i have seen it, would almost certainly have included it in any missives i might have sent to Mssrs. Labrador, Risch, or Crapo. So i let others write my "copy" (i.e. petitions) and i sign it.

I need to take some time and review your wife's struggle.

In the mean-time, I want to tell you, my dearest LJ friend, that if you feel, in ANY WAY, that any of my posts may be damping your spirit to the point that it may in the slightest way be impinging upon your, OR YOUR WIFE'S, health, then PLEASE DROP ME, and perhaps pick me up later, or perhaps not. I know that I post sardonic and realistic or tragic or ironic posts, and I do not want these to impose upon your mood or physiology in any way whatsoever. So, please do as I suggest if you have the slightest suspicion that I may be affecting your life negatively.

Thank you.

I don't always read what you right.
Sometimes i think your paranoia is real
Sometimes i don't totally comprehend
Always i look forward to your posts, including you struggles with the netherworld.
If i dropped you i would miss too much good stuff
and way too much interesting stuff.
My obsessions are controlled by my neurons, not by other people's opinions, so you needn't worry :)
