It opens with silence as David lightly starts tapping his ride cymbal in successive 16th notes, and switches to his secondary ride cymbal on the 4-e-+-a. That continues for a while until Fieldy and Munky quietly enter with a small bass trifecta and a slightly distorted triplet riff.
The fact that you know what all that means depresses me. :(
I don't know jack shit about all those terms, I just wing it on feel... but thas' a great "article". ^^ You done said it all about why Korn deserves to be called one of the Greats.
PS: Those are some mighty examples, but I still believe that those acts to the fans might've been construed as just publicity for themselves which in turn would result in more records sold and more tickets bought. So in a roundabout kinda way, those "selfless" acts to their fans were still more for themselves. Though I'll agree, IF there was a band who was for the fans, Korn would be it.
