Maybe it has something to do with their origin? Soldiers in WW1 and 2 coined most of today's curse words. Maybe parents, then, were shocked to hear their children say them, and didn't want it to continue on. Now it just continues because they're "bad words."

I don't really like swear words either, but I know it's partially because I've been conditioned. Bitch, fuck, shit, etc just sound really ugly to me, and as though they're words that only uncultured, stupid, heartless people use.

Isn't that weird? I think it's my mom's passionate hatred for swear words. Shut-up is a swear word to her >_>
