Sounds like you're having a hard time over there. I feel for you. I hope you don't get depressed. Physical activity, social interaction, and a change of routine all help combat depression.

Also, see Avengers. It was awesome. You're in China, you can probably pick it up on blu-ray already.

BTW, my parents just returned from a trip to China. Mom is from the province you're in. They didn't mention seeing you there.

I am hanging in there. I just keep swimming.

I actually got John Carter on bluray, but I can tell that they just filmed it with a camera in the theaters. I am going to Yantai tomorrow and will stop by the DVD store and see what they have new.

Sorry I missed your mom. I would have taken her out to dinner in Qingdao or Yantai if she was in town. :) Lots going on over here, LOL, as you can see in the news.

Big cities far from home are always isolating if you have no friends or family near by. :/ I was so lucky to have so many friends in NYC when I have gone there.

Bob, I found your thoughts quite moving in this entry. I'm so sorry you're stuck over there with no real means of escape especially when you'd like to be there for your friend's last days on this earth. My condolences to you. All I can hope is that you can get through this period of isolation without sinking into a major depression. Hang in there! We miss you. I hope I get to see you in August in Orlando.

I don't sink into major depression... I just eat stuff. But there is nothing good here to eat, so it is a vicious sad cycle of constantly wanting to eat. :p

So, on the plus side, you will be less likely to gain weight! Gotta look in the bright side. :-)
