I know there isn't much here, but in order to keep up with my icons and make my icon journal seem like more than a 20in20 dumping ground, I'm going to attempt to do one of these at least once in every two months. We'll see how well I follow through with that, though!

Wow, these are such pretty icons! I love that you've been playing with typography more and more these days <3
My favorites are 7, 10, 14, 18, and 19 from the animanga/vg set. I also love 1 and 5 from the movies/tv icons <33

I can certainly say that playing with typography is one of my favorite things to do now (though it seems like I really enjoy cutting out all my subjects- not sure if that's a good or a bad thing!).

And thank you so much for commenting! I was excited to post this up, because for once in a sorta-lengthy icon-making "career," I'm actually super-duper proud of what I've produced in the past few months (before, I was just kinda proud XD). :D

Oh, I love extracting images. I find it easier to work with scans/caps that way, honestly. It can take me twice as long to have to work with the original background still intact...

I think being proud of what you put out is important. It helps me grow more as an icon maker if I feel like my next batch needs to be just as pretty as the batch before that, or (hopefully) better. And I can tell you've been improving like crazy, so I think that artist's pride is shining through <3

Ditto on your first statement. Though I think I'm still weary sometimes about extracting the image, more so if it's something from live action (though I've even started extracting that, and so far, I love the result).

Yeah, I make this personal challenge whenever I icon now- "This one's GOOD, but the one I made before this was good- can we make it GREAT?" And it just continues until each batch I make has to be better than the one before that.

But seriously, oh my gosh, I'm so happy you've seen my improvement! <3
