"Wow," said Al, "is it supposed to taste like that?" He downed the rest of the teaspoon and seemed to slosh it around his mouth. His nose crinkled up.
Ed snorted. Winry refused to meet his eye, he'd only set her off. "It's raw. It's not good raw, because of the flour ..."
Al shook his head firmly. "But there's flour in raw cake batter and cookie dough. And that's really good."
Oh yeah, the time, two weeks after the brothers got back, that Al was left unsupervised with a batch of chocolate chip cookie dough. He was sitting at the kitchen table dropping teaspoonsful onto a baking tray, Winry turned away for less than a minute, and next time she looked half the dough was gone and Al was clutching at his stomach with a perturbed expression. This, Winry imagined, must be what it was like having kids.
