Behind the cut is an image from a deleted scene, allegedly from the season finale, but I can't find any more info on it. I guess it's been making the rounds on Tumblr judging by the number of reblogs but I'm not on there regularly, so it's new to me.

what is this i dont even )

I couldn't have gone on so long without watching! If you just need the recaps, I find that televisionwithoutpity.com's recaps (nutshell version or extremely thorough) are the most fun to read.

And if you have a robust internet connection, you can watch the entire season online at HBO.com

I'm thinking I know why they cut this out. I think it would have signaled to the audience that Jimmy had suicidal depression since one of the bigger signs of someone about to commit suicide is getting rid of or giving away important items that have special meaning to them. If they had played this scene then the audience would have understood what was going on in Jimmy's head and probably put in more context about why Jimmy shows up unarmed to avenge his wife.

To sum up, they probably looked at the scene, realized it was too anvilicious, and then probably didn't use it or will use it at a later date.
