Oh yes definitely. I think both Lucy and Margarets 'situations' illustrates how life was for many women at that time. When you're a woman in such a mans world, the chances of being provided for probably increases drastically if you play off your looks. And besides the show has never really been subtle about Lucy playing dumb. And I can totally see where that need comes from, Nucky is the most powerful man in town and a good guy (in his own way).

I agree. I think Lucy isn't dumb so much as her skill set is much different than Margaret's is. Her fault in terms of Nucky was that she didn't understand Nucky's change in attitude and what he wanted. This was the guy who lived for years off of the high life and having fun and now he wants to play house and have breakfast with the kiddies? That's why Lucy was so confused when he showed interest in Margaret because Margaret was the exact opposite of what Nucky said he wanted for a number of years.

For Margaret, she's a female version of Nucky so it doesn't really surprise me that Kelly thinks of her like that. But their situations, trying to get by, and their geniune affection for Nucky, do make Lucy and Margaret very similar.
