I guess Quackle is looking at the strong possibility of an 80-point bingo in row 1 (if you have to find an 8 with an F, best to have it in the first spot) or another high score bingo in row 2, so dumping the Q is a good rack-management play. If Mack uses his Vs to block the F or A, then you have a 40-point play through the Z to pull ahead.
