So, Katie broke up with me a few days ago. (On the one-month mark, anyway) I know I usually whine about this stuff a lot, and trust me, the last few days I've felt like whining. I really cared about her and I was genuinely happy to be with her

Your maturity puts me to shame. You really handled this well, regardless of how little or how much you cared. Very admirable, indeed. I am sorry that the break up had to happen, but I guess sometimes the things that get us from here to there are going to hurt, and what can we do about it but keep on keeping on. You've got company, though. You are not a stranger here

Thanks, I really appreciate that. Katie and I didn't date for nearly as long as you and Leah did, but the relationship was still special in its own way. I'm going to miss being around her as much and feeling that sort of connection with someone, but I know it's not the end of the world

Sorry that I'm not quite sure what to say and don't have a page to write (here at least), but I just thought I'd throw in that you are incredible and I'm really glad that this breakup sort of "worked out" for you...as much as any can, I suppose. I miss you all the way down there in Memphis...
