Yesterday I was at the award ceremony for a writing contest - sff short stories ( in Dutch). I came in fourth. I would have preferred to come in first, duh, but you can't win them all. ( I won in 2008).

This story did end up in the printed story collection following from the contest, so that's my second story in print. Yay!

I hesitate to ask how old your children are now. It's been quite a long time since I betaed for you.

I think we started in 2002! It seems both long ago and very recent. That's middle age speaking, I guess...

My kids are now 16 and 14 ( two of those). The boy is 6'6", and the girls 5'9"and 5'11"....

I agree with you about time. It's easier to see on the kids. I recall that when your son was ten he was already my height. My grandson is now 20 months old and, of course, is leaps and bounds different from last year.

I saw your knitting Ravelry - enjoy the time he will allow you to knit for him. It won't last forever, although friends of mine say you may have another chance when he turns 30! :-)

She'd look here(http://www.verschijnsel.com/) and wait for it to be available. There's a mention on the home page, but no link yet. The title is Echte Liefde, after the winning story.

Bol.com too will have it up in a couple of weeks.
