Maybe I'm just a sucker for Esper rebellion stories, but I really liked the darkness of this. The way you hint at what Mateus might look like without really describing him, the way he refers to himself as "this one" (especially interesting, that, as if he doesn't really have a feeling of self).
Just one thing that bugs me: "demesne" means "domain, territory", so the part where the Occuria says:
"The mortal Demesne of Ice? Was it because of her beauty?"
I take it that you use "demesne" as a synonym for Shiva. If that's the case, I'm not sure that's correct.
Minor nitpick though, I really enjoyed this!

Wow, I just re-read the blurb from the game and - goodness, that makes so much more sense then. I missed the "from the" part. xD I remember looking up Demesne and getting so confused as to what the translators were talking about.
