Thanks! Maybe I'm overthinking, and if I just jump into the story & start swimming, I won't worry about what genre I'm writing, or the worldbuilding implications of names.

Let your agent worry about the genre. Just write. It's what you do. And whether or not you agonize over these things, it never shows in your writing--at least, nothing I've seen.

And if this doesn't work out, you always have your stellar 3-day novel to play with. :) (hint-hint, nudge-nudge, wink-wink.)
