You're welcome! And yeah, that early present really can't be beat :)
May your 2012 be happy, prosperous, busy but not overwhelming.

Thank you from Room 50! This is awesome, B. I'm so glad about Mark, and all the rest.

May your dearest wish come true in 2012!

You're welcome! And I think I may have already cashed in my dearest wish, so I'll hope to see us all published or equivalent in 2012, as my next-dearest wish.

Good call. I raise several toasts in your various directions.

And toasts to you, mighty coder - shall we toss the emptied glasses into the roaring fire, to do the thing right?

I have to admit that were I at some posh do and our hosts had dusted off the best glasses, I would be somewhat wary of lobbing them in the fireplace. One might not be invited back.

However, I am probably being terribly British about the whole thing.

It's probably more a German hunting-lodge sort of thing to do - those over-dramatic Continentals, you know.

Thank you, Barbara!!! Operation Eyesight is a great charity. I've been doing it ever since you sent your first gift all those years ago. A gift that gives and gives!

Such wonderful news about Mark. Best present under the tree.

It's really cool to think of making a concrete difference to someone, isn't it?
And yeah, I don't think there could be a better present than that sheet of paper saying Negative.

I'm glad to hear about Mark's biopsy. That must be such a relief.

Have fun with the Kobo. (Good that you're all set up with calibre and dropbox. That seems to be the way to go.)

Oh yes - we're just waiting on him being able to start running and exercising again, but it's much easier to wait on that with good news secured.
Chris and I had some fun finding work-arounds for the Kobo, since my Mac laptop is too old to recognise it or to deal with calibre, so we were trotting a usb from the Mac to the EEE and back. This may mean a new laptop at some point.
