Divaness

Choir was fine. Practice was slightly disappointing. Am I getting worse, or have I finally realized more of what I'm doing wrong? But anyway, most of singing today wasn't all that interesting.

You are, that is, into the mysti-seekies of Diva worship to be concenred with my response to your 'Naayxuberance. Enjoy. I hope it's a good album. When it's hot, it's hot. But if you think she's going to drop the (well-hung, if rumor is to be believed) trumpeteer from Lyric and accept your proposal of marriage because vous avez gushé, think again. L-O-effing-L. I gush because I'm sick of hearing the unequivocal bashing. I prefer Karita Mattila as a performer and a diva to 'Née-née *points to icon*, but I just can't get over the latter's voice, despite the weird things she likes to do with it (which seem to work for me more often than for others). Also, I must review the album of Strauss Orchesterlieder with Karita I recently got--I'm thinking it's going straight to my "favorites" list.

Btw, I had an ephiphany regarding the cover. Two words: Fleming Flappers. Now, I don't consider myself among their (w)hordes, as I actually have reservations (when I listen, I do often think, "Why the F did she do that?!"), but it's an amusing thought nonetheless.
