A Californian farmer's dog, who was tasked with protecting the farmer's goats from coyotes, refused to get into a car to escape the approaching wildfires. The farmer had to make a decision and opted to leave his dog and 8 goats because the fire was on top of them and there was no time to load the goats and also get he and his daughter to safety. He

Aw flip. What a dog!

I did see a lovely story about a guy who stopped his car on the edge of the fires to rescue a wild rabbit - someone filmed it and posted on Twitter. Which went a little way to restoring my faith in humanity.

Oh, I saw the rabbit video on the news. That guy was completely freaking out. I think the rabbit was calmer. But lovely to see nonetheless :)
