So, Thomas Gibson (a.k.a. Hotch) is still gone from Criminal Minds, but now Paget Brewster (a.k.a. Prentiss) is back.

I guess dionne_2k was right after all... Still not sure about all of this.

I've been waiting for you to hear. It's gonna be interesting to see what they do in the show to make this happen. I'm still holding out hope that she ends up being the new lead.

She's had mostly bad luck with shows since leaving. And I was sure after they got her to come back for multiple episodes, they would do something to try to convince her to come back full-time. I didn't think they would be able to pull it off, but I'm super glad they did!

For me, I figured out the real reason why I watched Criminal Minds and the reason why is because of Shemar Moore. Now that he's gone my interest in watching Criminal Mind is there; not to the point where I have to tune to the episode when it airs or the day after it aires.

Now that Hotch is gone, which I am not happy about. The only real reason I am watching is Garcia and Reid. I will still watch, but not as regularly.

As for Paget Brewster, I hope she doesn't stay. Her character annoyed me. I am glad she left. If she ends up being the new Hotch, then my desire to watch the show has gone down drastically.

Prentiss has always been a favorite of mine and I was upset when she left, but not upset enough to stop watching (after all, there was still Hotch, Reid, Garcia...). The loss of Hotch will be mitigated for me by Prentiss's return but I fundamentally think that this show is in trouble without him. Maybe it made sense to the show runners to promote Brewster back to the regular cast as a stabilizing, recognized influence after TG's departure. It took them 3 tries to get a Prentiss replacement casting choice to stick on the show (Aisha Tyler) so maybe they figured they'd go with who they know rather than break in a new character/actor.

Season 12 is gonna get messy, I'm sure.

To each their own. I was glad when she left. Right now there is too many cast member changes and I am close to reaching the limit of finding a new show to watch now. If Prestiss is the new Hotch then that's it for me watching Criminal Minds. I'll find a new show to watch or rematch show I enjoy watching. I don't like her and I am not going to sit through an hour of watching her just so I can get a glimpse of Garcia and Reid.
