First, we have no winter - none. Then, we have no appreciable spring with a drastic lack of spring rain for summer crop growth. THEN, we leap head first into 35C days in May. And THEN, we dive back down to 15C and receive all of our spring rain in one go. A couple of my house plants committed suicide by diving off the window ledges due to extreme ( Read more... )

I remember it quite vividly when you wrote few years ago about winters with loooooads of snow... :D lol

Totally offtopic but - I wonder if Orbit likes to go pee under such wet conditions... 8D it must be a joy to clean the house after that muddy comeback...?

Orbit is litter trained which means that she pees inside - like a cat. She doesn't like getting wet and would REFUSE to go outside in a storm like that even at the expensive of her bladder. She is a delicate flower ;)

It would've been better if I wasn't bashing my brains into my laptop while in bed... but you can't have everything I suppose.

I was at Osgoode when that happened. It was not fun. At least there were trains from Osgoode to St. George (though the other direction was of course not running). The station was packed with wet people with suit cases who had presumably hiked from Union. The streetcars were moving at a snail's pace. My umbrella broke and was stuck open, and I was 'cleverly' carting it and a huge roll of expensive paper.

My umbrella tried as many different origami configurations as it could manage that day. In the end, it was just easier to get drenched.

What, no sharks???? *iz bummed that you weren't fighting sharks with your umbrella*
