My beloved, synap - unemployed for over a year now, has just been hired to write a score for an animated fan film about BATMAN! He'll even get PAID for it! And he'll get a production credit as well. It won't save our bacon, but it's a start and it's incredibly geeky cool. He's very excited about it ;)

He's very excited and it is a little unusual to get paid for doing fan work, so there's that. He still needs a steady gig, but this'll give him a much-needed boost: damn this economy!

Perhaps the fannish work is intended as a portfolio piece of some kind, in which case I can definitely see the film maker wanting to put their best foot forward across the board.

I think it's very good for the morale to be given a chance to flex one's talents.

He's done a lot of historical dramas and judging by the sideburns I'd say it's from while he was working on one of those.

His parents, Wanda Ventham and Timothy Carlton (his dad opted NOT to use the family last name when he became an actor) are well known actors in England, his father mainly on stage. His mother, however, was quite well known on TV and was gorgeous. Sorry, I'm rambling, but if you know his parents you can see where his somewhat odd looks come from.

Hey Congrats Synap!!!! Nod to Chicago in the score? Dale points out that the building behind batman is the Chicago Board of Trade, to his left is the Federal Reserve branch and to his right is the Bank of America building.

Oh I know... MB is always going on about how my favorite American city is Gotham, not Chicago *eyeroll*. The boy is obsessed. Did Dale ever see The Dark Knight? They blew up half of Chicago in it ;)

Oh yeah. He's already met the director and it appears that they are brothers by different mothers, so this is gonna be a really neat project for both of them.
