Never new the definition of nano rhino until nowslavezombieNovember 2 2013, 16:50:02 UTC
I've tried similar events but just can't get myself in the zone. I mean, I brainstorm a lot with pen and paper (pencil), but producing a finished page takes longer than daily writing when one has a day job. There was this one nano challenge a few years ago that focused on screenwriting. Since I write on my typewriter, participation meant scanning and uploading to their site. I just barely now developed a habit of uploading my blog entries to my own site. And what should I discover anyway, the screenwriting event is defunct. Since two years ago, no less.
Wondering if you've stumbled upon any such thing for us lowly screenwriters. If so, I'd be happy to hear about it, and I'll be sure to include you in the loop too, if I come across any such competition.
I think you must mean Script Frenzy, right? http://2012.scriptfrenzy.org I didn't know it closed. That's too bad.
I don't know of any other official ones. But that shouldn't stop you from being able to challenge yourself. Follow the Script Frenzy rules or come up with your own. Maybe start a community and gather some other fellow script writers together. Maybe include play writes as well as screen writers. The opportunity is there, if you want it.
Nano became huge and it started as just a few guys coming together every November to challenge themselves.
