Damn it, why the hell is the Merlin fandom so damned depressing? I'm once again the only person who doesn't like the general OTP ... I can't see the Arthur/Merlin slash. I honestly think Gwen has chemistry with everyone too, but unfortunately she gets little screentime with Bradley James and when I hear people say that Bradley and Angel don't have chemistry, I think 'Not everybody is Gillian and David and they had like what 15 minutes of screentime together, whaddya expect?'
I heart HEART Angel very much. She is a very good actress and so is everyone else. The writing may not always be fantastic and the writers obviously scoff at historical accuracy but the acting, sure as anything is fantastic.
Also thank you very much for the recs :D. You are a sweetheart. I will now attempt enjoy all the gen and het that I can get my hands on :).

For whatever reason fantasy and sci fi fandoms have always been very slash happy. I don't care if the two lead males have NO chemistry with each other, people will insist they do.

I personally think Angel and Bradley have a very sweet chemistry with each other. There's almost a courtliness to it (which quite a bit of teasing), that I find very charming and character appropriate.

I do too but sometimes, people have a way of talking about Arthur and Gwen, and I want to tell them that Bradley and Angel aren't really David and Gillian i.e. not all actors have the sort of chemistry that make you want to see them jump each others' bones the moment they appear onscreen.
