Clean out the filter (read: take it to someone who knows wtf they're doing and have them open up the bottom and clean out the filter).

I've had that problem too! I always just set my laptop on a thick and large book with the edge of it hanging off. This lets the little air vents get lots of room to blow out of. ^_^ It is especially helpful for me if I'm using it on a cloth surface like the dinning room table!

I'm gonna have to see if I can find someone to clean out my filter too... That sounds like good advice!
