Autumn 2007, part the first

Oct 11, 2007 10:38

Last week-end I was taking photos and generally being 'out there'. At this time of the year in my little cosy corner of the world the transition from summer to autumn is well under way. Here are some of the pictures I took. I have a long week-end coming up so I'll be out there again looking for more.

Thank you, dear. Yes, I saw the leaf, the only one on the branch that was gold rather than green and it really stood out. I thought that the heart shape would make it a great greetings card.
I like ladybirds. They come in lots of different kinds. I really like the ones with a black shell and small red spots, though they are not very common, they are Goth Ladybirds!

Me too. I'm hoping to go up to Westonbirt Arboritum in Gloucestershire tomorrow on my day off, so be prepared for lots more autumn colours!

Thanks, yes I really like the ladybird one too. As I've said in another comment, I really like the ones with a black shell and small red spots, though they are not very common, they are Goth Ladybirds! :))

The gateway is looking into one of my family's fields on the farm.

Thanks so much. It's a special time of year, isn't it? Hopefully, there will be more colourful pictures in the days to come as I travel around with my camera. :))) Take care.

Thanks. :))
That photo is special to me too. I feel I did as good a job with that one as possible. Most of the time I look at my photos and feel I could have done better, but with that one, I'm happy. :))

Thanks. Please don't laugh. I actually use a Canon Ixus 500 compact camera. It's about the size of a cigarette packet and that makes it great to use when I go for walks and climbing. At least I don't have to cart around loads of equipment with me! :))) Seriously, though, it's a good camera and I wouldn't be without it.
