Autumn in England

I get the feeling that autumn is really here now. It is a bit later than normal and, as yet, a lot of the trees are still looking green. 
For those of you who may be concerned about these things, there are conkers.

Last night I went out into the garden and had a bit of a play, wanting to depict autumn in some small way.

Thank you. I thought it would be a nice idea to wait until well after dark to photograph them. It's strange but, fungi always give me the impression that they are dormant during the day and only really alive at night. (Is that me being weird, or....) The mushrooms look whiter than white too. More importantly, I'm delighted to report that Somerset appears to be awash with conkers at the moment, so all is well with the world!

Don't work too hard!

ooooooo!I like mushrooms
we had a large harvest last march! we grill mushrooms with a potatos. yammi!!!
but now it is spring in NZ and mushrooms will be not soon-(
