Invention has become the mother of necessity - a column

When I was young, admittedly quite a long time ago now, there was a saying that had been around for a very long time. It was a saying that rang true and had a meaning, it was, ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’. It’s not earth-shattering, it’s not complicated or far-fetched. Thanks, dear. I'm glad you see my point. Technology can go too far sometimes. I like your idea about the gadget I described. The other use that I thought about was to attach it to a pet, a cat or dog on their collar, so that you can see where it's been while it was outside. That might be very interesting.

That is also a good idea, very similar to the electronic collar, the scientists can develop this ideas and make something really useful. :)

I completely agree with you, I also think think that we could easily do well without many of gadgets that surround us.Even our iPhones-they change only memory and the size of screen. To be honest, for most of people it's just a toy..The same thing about plane tables..I think maybe scientists and inventors could possibly think of something really helpful, about something that could cure people or prevent natural diseases, not just about the new model of a cell phone. It's great of course that we have advanced technologies...but in my opinion it's worth thinking of doing some other gadgets, more vital ones.
