One of my dearest friends lost his mother on Monday, The day before she was supposed to return home from the hospital. It was sudden and unexpected. He is still reeling in shock. It is hard to see a friend in pain and know there is very little to do for them. The loss of my father still rips at my soul years after

I am glad to see that you are seeing the good along with the bad in your life. It is encouraging to see you blog about both.

I am sorry to hear about your job. :-( I am sure the perfect job is out there, somewhere, for you. I am also glad that the EMP is working for you, creating the "family" that you need and want.

I'm sorry about the work thing not working out. Did I mention how frustrating it is dealing with someone who refuses to let go some control and delegate?!? don't be too upset about it; it happens to everyone who tries to help her (I even offered twice this weekend to help, and she won't take me up on it). she's just not ready to admit yet that she can't do it all. goddamn Type A personalities...
