Anyhoo, has anyone managed to get the first issue of Archie comics new Megaman series? See, I went to a comic book store just last week (one right near my work, yuuusss) and they sold out in a matter of days because

omg hi I am so glad you are back!

I think Mega Man is just a property that Capcom has handled well. Sure, there's nostalgia--lots of it--but kids also know who Mega Man is, and generally like him.

Ian's a great dude, all-round. Funny thing, David and I often get together with him and his wife; their lives kind of mirror our own. He's from Charlotte North Carolina, and his wife is from Toronto (well, the Toronto-ish area), like David and I. He'll be moving up here eventually, so whenever he's in the territory, we get together and gab.

Oh, and David is doing the Mega Man comic blog for Archie, so check it owt. :D

I actually wonder how much kids today even know about Megaman, especially the original. Maybe some watch MMBN and know him by association? Jesus I feel old just typing this.

Holy shitcakes, you've actually met the guy? I used to know him when he was just a Sonic fan called Ian the Potto. Man this is getting incredibly meta on so many levels. Do you guys talk about Megaman a lot now that he's doing this comic?

Hahah! But for real, if you want to snag a fresh issue, I'm pretty sure I can ship one to...well, just about anywhere, easily. As far as the story goes, they're playing the safe route and sticking with (mostly!) canon material. So far, only MM1 is only covered, but I'm pretty sure they'll stretch it to more than that.
