This, this was perfect. I can totally see Colby coming out that way. All the fics where he finds it easy kind of annoy me.
And David, oh, David, you meany, teasing poor Colby like that. It was hilarious *g*
I loved this so much, hon. Now I'm going to read all the other stuff connected to it.

Yeah; I can't really see however many years he spent in the army being easy to shake off, especially in the FBI, which doesn't strike me as the easiest place to be openly gay!

You know, I think I've just identified my main problem with so much Charlie/Colby fic - Colby has so little angst or conflict within himself (although I could just be reading the wrong fic). Thank you *g*

Colby's little crush, and the fact that David doesn't get it. I especially loved that David didn't get it. And probably won't.
10pm wrote David's side of the story in which he does wonder if there's something else as well as friendship, but yeah, I like the idea that he doesn't really know that there is. I think Colby definitely wouldn't tell him, ever, and David would definitely never ask.

Colby was so good at hiding---and it's canonical detail, here---that it doesn't surprise me in the least that he would have managed to work it into his life, and eventually his career.

Have to say, Don is Jewish so that's religious minority.

Curses, you're quite right! How did I miss that when I was writing this?
