If you tell me what buttons your machine has I can probably tell you what to press. You could also try looking up the user manual online.

Soup sounds sooooo good right now.

I know and do have a manual somewhere previous owner left, and I will look it up if I can't figure it out. Lol it is more amusing in a 'you are such a dork' sort of way than any stressing about it(yet). If I take a pic this weekend I will upload it.

Soup in winter is how I live, err well sort of since this one ended up more mush(split peas plus some extra lentils = baby mush, but OMG it was tasty!!!). I have bones from farmers market in freezer to make lamb stock this weekend. They were free, Peter-guy I work for in summer-has free bones 1 or 2 times in winter if you time it right. Can't really get much fresher either so I grabbed few and threw them in the new freezer. Stock will be made, but need stew meat for next step(for the stock I don't just drink alone). There is a book on BONES cooking, I need to own it sometime soon!!

Don't feel bad. We never had one in my house growing up and I actually sold them even when I'd never used one. (Well, except one time years earlier when I'd been asked to start a friends, and they walked me through it.) Made for some interesting convos with customers.

Do you have the owner's manual? If not, post the make/model (should be on a sticker inside the door frame) and I'll see if I can find one online for you.

Oh. Also, if the dishware has gilt or pretty patterns on it, handwashing is probably better for them.

Already on that one, but I don't have much left that I really have to watch for designs except some mugs and goblets so that part is easy.

Lol, I have run it 2x and nothing melted or blew up(of course I don't think I've don't anything plastic yet) so I guess that is a good sign. I don't plan on using it much but figured some of the stuff that hadn't had true good cleanig in years deserved it before I put them way in their new homes :)
