on an LJ post click on the tiny little icon thing on the left at the top of the post that says insert image. Follow the instructions to browse for the picture in your computer files, and upload it. The code will show up in the post.
copy it and put it in the posts for DW and AO3. Then the picture will show up.
Now. What did you do to make the pictures show up correctly for ASR3, because I did the above method for ASR3, and it shows the code, not the picture, but if you click on it you will be taken to a screen that shows the picture (away from the story).
OK, I'll give that a try for my next story, thanks (DW at least wants a URL and I didn't have one; I couldn't see anywhere on AO3 that lets you upload images.)
For ASR3 - :-) In sheer desperation this morning, I went to the ASR3 instructions for illos. Adjusted the size using Paintshop (they were all a touch too big). Then I went to the page where it says 'manage stories, add new story,' etc. It has one for 'manage images' Click on that. It gives you five windows to insert images by browsing for them. Put the images in and hit upload. That gives you a link for each illo. I copied those into a text file so I could have them on the screen at the same time as the story, then it's just a case of putting the links into the story.
Unfortunately the links scattered among the ones already there, which was another good reason for copying them into a separate file, but I imagine that if you have them named fully they'll end up together.
Iilos. Not a word I hear a lot, I probably would have not realized they meant pictures. Thanks, I'll give that a try when I get back from town later today.
With DW and AO3, I just copy the coding directly into where I want the picture to be, and wne it's previewed you can see it.
