I am actually reading many of these -- so don't think that just because there aren't comments that no one is reading them. I hadn't realized that Brackett covered that wide a range. It also appears that Leigh Brackett must have been one of the earliest to mix the mystery and SF/F genres.

I would, however, make one suggestion: use an LJ-cut on each of these because they're quite long.

Ah, cut, yes that's a good idea. Usually I don't use lj a lot, so don't think of that. I'll put that in the next ones.

That is sort of the point, too. I had been doing them in 'reverse order of how well known' or something like that. So if I had to stop sometime, someone would have then written something about more obscure stories as opposed to Eric John Stark.

So crime, near future, postapocalyptic, present day, interstellar, the esoteric solar system etc. as opposed to Venus/Mars.

I don't actually own either of the two Western novels, but have read one.
