Well, shaolin_warrio finally convinced me to start making shao-lin war myself. I'm a week into Kung Fu classes. I figured trying to run wasn't working (too boring), trying to lift weights wasn't working (also too boring), and I needed to do something to improve my fitness. Check out this article about my friend jakflak's situation in Alaska. He's the Richie Holschen mentioned in the second half of the article. He's got five kids ages six and under, just like my sister mommyjo2.

I've had this Christmas cold for over two weeks now. I got antibiotics from the doctor today; hopefully they will help. Hopefully it's not still a virus, in which case the antibiotics will be worthless.

We got some snow today, about three inches. I would complain about having to shovel the sidewalk when I'm sick, but what with jakflak literally buried ( Read more... )
