mmm. I adore your way of putting things. Perhaps you are missing out on things, but you made new friends too, right? I don't need friends, because I have my family here. Perhaps this is similiar? Maybe. Maybe we should both start hanging out with someone new. Not to drop the old, not in any way, but to add the new.

eric, as ive been questioning whether or not i think that i can really go to an out of state school (in ny or fl) and make it without knowing anyone at all, that really helped me out times a thousand.

i know that you must feel like you are maturing so quickly now that youre in college, and you feel like you can handle the thought of starting a clean slate, and i think that you can do that. just go out there, make friends, and eventually youll be able to get it all together.

i cant give you much feedback on that, though, considering im still only a senior in high school, but i did want to say thank you for giving me the feedback that i needed even when i didnt know who to ask. :)

dude, i came to school only knowing of 2 people that go here--but i dont' ever talk to them or hang out with them. I wasn't so much nervous about coming to school, until everyone seemed to already have at least a few people they knew and could hang out with until they met more people. it was rather lonely at first. but now that i've met the girls on my hall, and many others, and am always making more and more new friends, i am so glad that i decided to go where no one else was going. it is definately what i needed. i sometimes still wish that there was at least one person down here, so that when i tell stories of people back at home--there's at least one person who knows who i'm talking about. but as i said i have loved every second of being down here and all of the people i've met. and i most definately do not regret not going to a school where i already knew some people ( ... )

Eric, you are one of the easiest people in the world to get along with, if you branch out you'll be the first to make new friends, if these people aren't for you then they aren't, don't hold yourself back for them. East Woodside just isn't the same without your car parked across the street, and the occasional laugh with you. I hope things get better. -Jess
