A Solemn Duty

For the past several weeks, I have found myself consumed with a conundrum, paralyzed with a rare case of indecision as I deliberate all the issues under consideration. I see more than one viable option available to me, with each candidate possessing, in my estimation, plenty of assets and flaws. The burden of responsibility is heavy--I want to ( Read more... )

I voted Nightmare Before Christmas, because I may actually have my Sally costume ready in time for tomorrow, provided tonight's rehearsal doesn't go too late. Woo hoo!

Woo hoo, indeed! A Sally costume would be fantastic, and I did have matching Jack and Sally pumpkins in mind. Awesome! :D

I vote Sweeney Todd & Mrs Lovett... my second choice would be Jack Sparrow. ;) *muah!* Hugs and love, babe.

Hmm... I sense a theme here. I think it's "Johnny Depp." ;-) Honestly, those are tow of my favorites, too, although the poll seems to be favoring HP characters.

Hope you have a great Halloween, dear! ~hugs and smooches~

So glad to hear you're feeling better!! Although, I must you send you virtual glares... Due to your posts, I have been inexorably sucked into the bottomless abyss of BPAL, and my pocketbook will never be the same!!!

I'm feeling quite a bit better, although my sinuses are still sealing up from time to time for no real reason. Still: progress!

Yikes, I'm sorry for getting you hooked on BPAL, too! It's so tempting, isn't it? Which ones have you ordered so far? I've tried Manhattan, Anubis, Jezirat Al Tennyn, Wilde and Wicked. I still have to try the Scales of Deprivation and Cockaigne.

Ugh! I hate sinus problems - I always feel like my brain doesn't function quite as sharply as it should with all that GUNK building up!

OMG, there are SO many amazing things to choose from on BPAL. I ordered Tavern of Hell, Bloodlust, and Horreur Sympathique (do you sense a trend?!). LOL. I also couldn't resist a set of imps to try: Nephilim, Bastet, Thalia, Kali, Hecate, and Lilith. Oh, and then I got Odin for the hubby. :-)

Damn, I'd better find a job so I can support my new BPAL addiction...

Yes, that's exactly the effect that blocked sinuses have on me, too. They make me feel like I'm thinking in slow motion! Thankfully, they're better now.

Ooh, nice choices from BPAL. I think Tavern of Hell is on my "To Try" list, too, so I'll be curious to know what your opinion of it is.

Then again, which of their choices aren't nice? Half the problem is that they all sound tempting...

Thank you! I love carving, and I'm only sorry that there's only one time of year when I get to practice. It's always fun to tackle something new.

Happy Halloween to you! I hope it's a wonderful day for you. :-)
