This is absolutely lovely! Great eye for detail, too, and Luna is excellent.

Thank you very much! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the story, especially Luna--she's one of my favorites, both to read and to write.

I missed this the first time around, and just read it today. And I have to say -- WOW! This was absolutely incredible, the richness of character you've given to Eileen is great.

In canon, she was just a faceless background character (heck, not even that, but rather just a footnote). But now you've given her the depth and background she deserved (or rather what I, as a Snape fan, wanted her to have). And I know it sounds weird, but I think Severus deserved to have her character fleshed out as well, if that makes any sense. He needed some connection/history with his family, so in giving us Eileen, you've also given us more to Severus...

~blushes~

Thank you very much! I'm really delighted that you enjoyed the story and my take on Eileen. I was really honored to write a story for Femme, and I really enjoyed writing about Eileen for her. It was a joy to get to figure out who Eileen is or could be as a person since, as you say, we have so little of her from canon.

I know it sounds weird, but I think Severus deserved to have her character fleshed out as well, if that makes any sense. He needed some connection/history with his family, so in giving us Eileen, you've also given us more to Severus...Not weird at all! I know exactly what you mean, because that was one of my aims with the story: to shed more light on who Severus is, why he is the way he is, as we understand more about his mother, his past and the dynamics of the family. He's comatose for 90% of the story, but I think his presence sort of looms over it anyway. *g* I also used Severus (and my reading of him) to try and make reasonable speculations about what Eileen might be like--what impact she had on ( ... )

Oh, and Luna's there (yay!). So perfect for her to nurse him back to health. *grin*

Of course there's Luna! You know how I love to write about Luna. I was so excited that she fit into the story so neatly.

Hi! It's Siryanne.
I recently suppressed my lj account so it's probably the last time I can leave you a comment here (as anonymous comments seem disabled).
Soooooo, the translation is online! ^^
Well, the first part of the six or seven parts, because I still have to translate the second half of the story... *blushes*
I don't have the link at the moment *takes 2 hours to be published I think* but you can go on fanfiction.net and search for the author Siryanne, the translation is "Dernière Impasse"
Cheers ^^
