People make the strangest assumptions. Allan and I have sometimes had to tell people that we *aren't* brother as sister.

~shakes head~ I don't know where they get these ideas! The more I think about it, the odder an assumption it seems. My father and I have a very strong resemblance, so I can't imagine why they wouldn't assume we were father and daughter. Strange!

LOL! My father and I get that a lot, and it does call for brain bleach. I mean, does it never cross these people's minds that there are such people as go shopping/dining/travelling with a parent? *rolls eyes*

Apparently not, although I can't see what's strange about it. I'm good friends with both of my parents and have been known to do these things from time to time. It's just such a strange assumption, because I'd think that parent/child would be the easier explanation, all things considered!
