Holding Pattern

There's this heavy and unmistakable air of expectation today. It feels as though everything, inexplicably, is on hold, never resolved or settled enough to provide any satisfaction or relief. Possibly this is the fault of the grey weather, which has thwarted my plans for gardening. Possibly this is because it's Monday and we all wish the weekend ( Read more... )

Heee! Alas, no. There are some funny ones in there... a few juvenile one, too, but what can you do, it's the internet. I've been touched by some of the memories shared.

I wish you could make it, too! ~hugs~ You will be missed. There will be pictures and recaps, I promise. The squeevan is actually just me, PJ and Juniperus, and we're very excited. We're supposed to meet up with Annie and the gang in Georgia, I believe, and then we'll ride into Orlando in a Convoy of Squee.

Okay, thank you for the sunscreen recs! I trust your judgement, o brain twin. ~squish~ I'll have to check out Ocean Potion.

What I would give for grey weather... Here it is so hot that the utility company made a public statement promising to not cut any households off today.

Teh plotting. Oh, the fun! *bounces*

Ugh, that sounds horrid! Although I must say, it's both grey AND humid here, so I'm not sure our weather would be all that much of an improvement.

Yay for plotting! ~bounces with you~ This is fun, isn't it?

Hooray for the sun! It just finally cleared up over on this side of the state, too :)

My skin burns less with the physical blocker sunscreens like Blue Lizard than the chemical ones. But I'm very fair, naturally blonde, freckled, light-eyed. My optometrist yells at me when I come in without sunglasses. The one time I went to Florida, I think used Banana Boat 50spf , though and it did work very well through three days of Disney madness and an afternoon at Cocoa Beach.

I hope you Squeevanners have a great time :)

~sings~ Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo... ;-)

Thank you for the sunscreen recs! I have very, very dark hair and eyes, but I'm pale as a corpse and virtually incapable of tanning. I just go straight to red. :-P I did read that Banana Boat was one of the most effective brands... along with Target brand. Who knew?

We're certainly going to try for a great time! But we will document for everybody. And hpcon_envy is definitely going to be up and running; we have plans. :-)

You know... not so much. It kind of dragged me into the middle of an unnecessary argument, instead. Ugh--like I said, everybody is tense and prone to snapping. I'm starting to feel like the last sane person left in the asylum.

Enjoy the story! (I'm sure you will; it's fantastic.)
