1. Just about everything that has been posted for the Severus Big Bang and the severus_shorts community has been of a very high standard, but today in Severus Shorts, a story posted that is of the sort that most of us might get one chance in a lifetime to write, if we're lucky. It's THAT good. It takes an extremely rare pairing--Snape and Sprout--and makes it ( Read more... )

You're more than welcome! I want to make everybody I know sit down and read this story. It's just stunning.

And it IS a rarepair, isn't it? I have the seed of a Snape/Sprout fic that I've been mulling for about a year, but I never made myself sit down and write it... but this story says everything I had thought about the pairing and much, much more--and it says it better, too. It's a real gift of a story!

~offers hankie~ Isn't it magical? So profound and yet gentle and just... yeah. It's a stunning piece of work. I think I started weeping about halfway through and sniffled all the way to the end.

~squishes~ I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did! It's a stunning piece, truly a work of art, and it's actually really convinced me that the Snape/Sprout pairing can work!

I was totally blown away by The Janus Rose. Never in a million years would I have thought that pair would work, but in the skillful hands of cathedralcarver it is completely believable. Made me cry. At first with sadness and then for joy!

Oh, it made me cry as well, and for the same reasons. I was so convinced that we were headed for an inevitable ending, so the shock of joy at the end hit me as hard as it did Pomona! It's just a stunning piece.

"...well, just read it. READ IT NOW. Read it and be enchanted. It is worth your time. It's right here: The Janus Rose (G)."

I read it. I read it NOW (actually THEN, by now). I was enchanted. It was more than worth my time. I'll probably read it again tomorrow. I've saved it to memories. It's a fabulous, fabulous fic. Thanks for the rec! :)
