1. Severus Snape is turning 50 tomorrow! (Yes, I know he's fictional. And your point was...?) In accordance with this momentous occasion, fandom will be overrun with fabulous fic, art, and creative projects of every stripe, and we lucky readers and reviewers get to spend all weekend (all month, to be honest) wallowing in the bounty. You wrote the fic. You suprised me with immortal Severus, poor thing.

And wow, I didn't realize that! I'm so, so pleased that you enjoyed that one. I don't really write tearjerkers that often (okay, sometimes), but that one demanded to be written.

Let's see SS/HG for pairing. Genre: romance plot: Minerva sets the two of them up on a date.

I like that plot! I've written Minerva and I've written a lot of SS/HG, but you know, I've never written them together. I can absolutely see her scheming to get them together, though. Hmm. I will have to think more about this!

Poor Snape looks like he's about to throw up! But I bet he has a secret LJ account to take a peek at all the Snapey goodness on show tomorrow. Thanks for pointing out the severus_shorts comm. I can certainly post the last minute painting sketch I'm doing right now on there. My SBB stuff, is, sadly, not done, but apparently they are accepting late submissions, bless 'em!

He does look slightly urpy, doesn't he? But I agree with you: beneath the shock, he's secretly pleased and will be glorying in all the love he's going to receive this weekend. The comm is open now, and wow, does it look great!
Definitely post to severus_shorts. That's perfect for it! And I like that the communities are turning this into a much more extended celebration. If anybody deserves that, it's Severus.
And now I am off to wallow in Snapely goodness...

Do you have fandoms besides Harry Potter? Ones you've written in or would like to write in? Cuz this makes me curious.
Seriously, cuz otherwise just do what you'd doing (in SSHG) and I'll be happy. Because of KIA I read in a lot more ships that I would otherwise, and I find I just don't really care for slash per se. Doesn't mean I wont love a slash story if it's by a good writer, and just reading off crack_broom lately I'm discovering a whole bunch of authors now that if I see their name my ears perk up--slash or not.
I was discussing with djinn_fic what my particularly favorite pairings are--one's I'd pounce on to read if someone gave me a rec, and it comes down to Kirk/Het, Janeway/Chakotay (which I've never written in), Buffy/Giles and Snape/Hermione. And God knows what those three pairings have in common, because I ( ... )
