1. I am mostly recovered from the Summer Cold of Doooom, though I am very easily exhausted and the cough lingers, rearing its head at inappropriate times, such as when I am trying to lead a discussion in class. It appears that the key to avoiding the worst of this is an outrageous amount of clear fluids, so I'm doing my best to stay hydrated. ~

I'm not in the 5-for-five, although I've been considering it. I've been held back by the knowledge that I can't commit to producing that amount each day. I don't always have the time, and I suspect a part of me is still afraid that the muse will suddenly cease being productive again. Yet on the other hand, I do appreciate the importance of actually making a commitment to the writing, making it a priority.
Actually, the more I write about it, the more I think it may be a constructive thing to do.
I totally agree with you about jotting down the ideas when they occur. I have a pocket notebook that I use for a very similar purpose! It does help restore some degree of order, though I still feel... off-kilter and semi-guilty for not being able to devote my attention to all the different projects. Still: priorities.

2. Don't bloody gloat. We've got a sodding sirocco today.
3. Wanna wriiiiiiite! Chap 3 of SB4SS awaits, among other things. And I think my poetry mongoose wants to attempt a sonnet, though it hasn't chosen a subject as yet.

2. Oh, I am sorry. That sounds miserable. ~fans you~ You may content yourself with the knowledge that you may gloat when winter comes (sooner rather than later, here) and I'm having to hike through hip-deep snowdrifts and twenty-below-zero temperatures.
3. Have I told you how much I am looking forward to reading SB4SS when you've completed it? I'm eagerly awaiting it. And sonnets are fun! I used to adore writing sonnets . But it is hellish to be in a mood to write and to have everything else in the world get in the way.

Gawd. Hyperactive muses. Rolls eyes. But yes, at least it's in view and rearing to go go go. That's always a wonderful thing.

Yes, it is a good thing, overall. I'm much too relieved to be productive to be seriously annoyed at the hyperactivity. So far. *g*

Good news about the muses with ADHD. Bake them a lovely confection, and when they are occupied with chewing, poll them one by one about their plot bunnies. This may be a kinder, gentler way to calm and focus them.
Cheers! :D

It's been in the high 40s to mid 50s range most nights here, as well. ("Here" being southeastern Michigan.) The sight of foliage already turning, though... haven't seen it here yet, but that is definitely early and a good sign of a cold autumn.
I suppose I ought to start pulling out my sweaters now.
