Why do these fic fests have to be so tempting? Why?
I made a resolution not to sign up for any more fests for the foreseeable future, because I'm busy and stressed and working through a million RL problems that are short-circuiting my ability to produce fiction, and besides, I have a big backlog of non-fest writing projects that I'd really like to complete this year.
But. But. The fests are so shiny! They keep tempting me! ~wibbles~ I was good and used all my willpower to turn down the HP Beholder fest (sigh), but now the Snuna Exchange sign-ups are up and... and...
~shakes head~ No! I mustn't. I shouldn't. I really want to sign up, since Snuna is my favorite rare-pair of all, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to do it. Right? Right?
...I'm trying to be responsible here, damn it. Why isn't responsibility ever fun or rewarding in its own right?
