I should find a hobby.

On my days off, I still tend to wake up pretty early, with my stock broker hours and all. The roommate works at a bar and keeps bar hours, so this means that she sleeps in. Most of my other friends also work service industry jobs, so they are either at work or sleeping when I wake up bright and early. This morning, I got up, ( Read more... )

I suspect you've got a great book in you, and what you've written here would make a good premise. Just saying.

Thank you.

I've thought about trying to get back into writing, but the problem is, I do actually write for a living, even if it's just answering company emails. It's sadly difficult to motivate myself to write my own stuff after writing for 10 hours on the job. I'll probably take yet another stab at NANOWRIMO when that rolls around again, though.

I'm kind of in the same phase, honestly. I don't really do anything besides my day job, my perfume shop, and see my boyfriend. I see my occasional other friends but I still don't have many in town who aren't qualified as an ex-boyfriend.

Also, No Reservations is so amazing.

I so want to have Tony Bordain's foul-mouthed, chain-smoking babies. Seriously.

No Reservations is a total time-suck for me. I have hours waiting for me on my DVR. Wish I was watching that instead of being at work.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you - or it might simply be an issue with being around our age. We have spent so much of our lives with school that we find ourselves a little adrift once that giant goal has been accomplished. I don't have kinds, nor do you guys, so one does kinda have the option to simply live for oneself.

Heck, I barely think about saving for retirement - I play the stock market for fun, and if I make anything off it, even better! Though that is more a side effect of my profession.
