awful dream

I had a dream last night where my cat got rolled over slowly by a car that I couldn't stop (I was standing outside), and the car stopped just short of rolling over his head. Sam shot this look of "please help me!" at me, and I begged the car to finish running over his head to kill him and put him out of his misery. Horrible dream...I woke up

yeah, I woke up this morning and Sam was curled up in his customary position on the bed at my feet and I felt much better. Cats are a pretty common symbol in my dreams, but this is the first bad cat dream I've had in a very long time.
