gimpy foot

Yesterday while wandering around the Metropolitan Museum of Art (which we mistook for th MOMA, which is actually a much easier mistake to make than you'd think), my foot crapped out and I spent the rest of the day limping pathetically around. I'm hoping it will cooperate with me today as we venture around NYC for the final day of our vacation. At ( Read more... )

You got the Met confused with the MoMA? XD That makes me giggle and I don't know why.

Sorry you're injured, but do tell my city hello for me, and that I'll be there shortly. ^_^

It's way easier to do than you'd think. I'm not used to having a cajillion art museums within walking distance. We also tried to find where John Lennon was shot and went the wrong way the first time, but found it yesterday after some help from some locals, one of whom was in the area that night it happened.

Hah, it's been quite a trip. I highly recommend seeing this city, if you haven't already.

I have. It's one of my favorite places in the whole world (or... what little of it I've seen).

It amazes me how little of the city we've seen, even though we've been going hard for the past 3 days. Ah well, just means we'll have to come back!

Yeah, it's snowed every day we've been here except for the first day, Saturday, when it was just cold and windy. But never that much snow, and it melts off quite a bit, and snow doesn't really stick around in Manhatten, so when we are touristing it up, it's not been bad at all (we are staying in Williamsburg, which is part of Brooklyn).

What's wrong with getting drunk, falling down and twisting your ankle, hmmm?

Absolutely nothing. It's just that I don't have a good falling down/twisted ankle to go along with my foot...it just crapped out for no reason while we were walking to Central Park.
