Azula showed up at exactly eight o'clock (she had always found the idea of being "fashionably late" to be a waste of time), carrying an overnight bag. On the ride over it had suddenly occurred to her that she hadn't been to a "sleepover" in years- not since she was ten or so, at the very oldest. The realization gave her a small twinge of uncertainty. Were fifteen-year-olds too old for sleepovers? Had her suggesting it seemed odd? When Karen had asked her to come over so late in the evening Azula had assumed that was what she had in mind, but perhaps she had been wrong.

As she walked up to the front door, Azula banished any such thoughts. Even if it had been an odd suggestion, Karen had still agreed- and therefore couldn't blame her for any awkwardness that came of it. Not that there would be any awkwardness, of course.

Azula rang the doorbell.

And, as was typical, Azula largely ignored him, going straight over to Karen instead. "Hello. Where should I put my things?"
