Why am I not allowed to be happy?

So today I went to Kalmar for an information meeting about working abroad. It was very interesting and on the way home I felt good and happy and hade that feeling of "Well, it didn't work before but with all this new information I'm sure I will get a job in no time". But of course that feeling couldn't last
