My mother's flight was at 3pm and we needed to be there by 1pm... we were running late. My boyfriend came because I had secretly planned a little romantic getaway for the ( Read more... )

take some time to rest up. You were trying to go to the airport, you sped, it's something that everyone does. You're just being human and that's fine. We love you. You were just unlucky to be the one in an accident. Think of it positively as well - if you didn't make everyone put their seatbelts on, it would have been worse. You took that pre-caution because road accidents frankly, they happen...even to the best of drivers...even to drivers who NEVER speed!

Take a break and don't feel afraid to gingerly step into a car again once you're ready.

*hugs* miss and luv ya.

I'm glad you're all alright. That's pretty awful. I had a minor accident one night going home from work some 6-7 years ago. I can still picture me fishtailing thanks to someone cutting in front of me. It was already dark, raining, and when I spun I saw a bunch of headlights coming straight at. Scary ass shit ( ... )

*hugs you tight*

When I had my car accident, I kept replaying the motorcycle skidding into my car, those two kids on the back tumbling on the road like ragdolls even as their bike (riderless) slammed into my driver-side door.

I can only say this--now you know it will never happen again, because you won't let it. When you recover from your shock.
