Was this man truly his friend? Or was he some inexplicably informed person pulling a horrible prank on him? He gripped his spear, every muscle in his body tense. His expression shifted slightly, however, as Robin squeezed his hand, and he turned his eyes towards her.
"I hate this," he said quietly. "I am faced with the chance I have wished for after this long, and I do not know what to do. All the things I need to say that I have gone over countless times in my mind, they are lost to me." Calgara grimaced, turning to face her completely. He cast his gaze aside, as if ashamed. "I...need your help."
He glanced back up to the figure, and started as the silhouette had finally taken a more distinct shape. There was color there now; black and orange and blue...and the unmistakable profile of a man Calgara had not seen in many years.

"Could it be...?"
Norland felt a chill of anticipation at the thought that it really was him. Finally. After far too long, would he be reunited with his best friend?

The Thousand Sunny slowed then, the anchor lowered. It would be a few minutes before a small craft could be launched for those who could not jump to shore nor swim. Robin smiled at Calgara, pressing him gently forward.
"Go on ahead," she suggested. "I'll catch up."
