Since the latest iteration of this game has turned my Tumblr into YET ANOTHER hate-on-Gillian-Darmody festival, I think I'll have better luck here.

Give me a fandom, and I will tell you at least one unpopular opinion I have about it.(CAVEAT, since I need to spell it out: THESE ARE OPINIONS. THEY ARE UNPOPULAR. THEY MIGHT BE WRONG, IN YOUR OWN

Colleen, will you please explain to me what SPN fandom's deal is with the utter adoration of Castiel/Misha Collins? I mean, I've seen a bunch of episodes, I agree that Misha is an awesome actor. Cas is a fun character with tons of potential that they've tapped into, and okay, yes, very slashable and preferential for people who don't dig Wincest.

But we're aware Castiel is basically John Constantine, right? And not a very good homage at that?

And we're aware Misha is just a fairly-intelligent actor? Not a god or a megastar or somehow the second coming of Christ?

I honestly have no idea. The only thing I can think of is that his character saved Dean in season 4. *shrugs*
And he is an evil genius:)

I liked Kevin.

I know, BRoTP fans like to hate on Kevin for not being Barney and for being accepted into the group so quickly and for being the designated Nice Guy. If they're not alleging that he's a complete sleaze for sleeping with one of his former patients. But I feel that first of all - Robin *deserved* a Nice Guy after all the bullshit that Don and Barney put her through, and she's not somehow a bad person for dating a guy who used to be her therapist. And as for his being accepted so quickly, well, he's funny and fit in far better with them than Zoey.

And what really won me over with Kevin was his reaction to her pregnancy scare/can't have kids thing. He was calm and understanding and talked to her about what she wanted - everything that a person would want out of a significant other. He's even (mostly) secure enough in himself to hang around with TWO of his girlfriend's ex-boyfriends, one of which he knows for sure she isn't over.

See, I liked Kevin too - Kal Penn did a great job with him, and he was smart and a nice character!

Most of fandom's hate's gotten refocused onto Barney's quasi-fiance.
